Green America and Global Exchange have teamed up to bring “The Green Festivals” to a few cities across the nation.
This Saturday, April 21st, is Earth Day. The Green Festival is taking place in New York City both days of this weekend.
The event will be filled with various exhibitors and speakers, all coming together for the greater purpose of greening our Earth! Some notable favorites we’re looking forward to include the opening presentation on Saturday’s Main Stage entitled “The Power of Plants: Discovering the Benefits of a Plant-Based Diet”, sponsored by one of our favorite companies, Earth Balance! Congresswoman Chellie Pingree is also speaking about creating a sensible national food policy, which should be a great talk.
Exhibitors include our favorite vegan cheese company, Daiya Foods, and Democracy Now. There will also be tons of fun events like eco fashion shows, movies, and food demonstrations!
Green Festivals are also taking place in Chicago May 5-6, Washington D.C. September 29-30, San Francisco November 10-11, and Los Angeles November 17-18.
