Vanessa Douglas and William Scott Williams interview Dr. Michael Greger (also known as Vegan MD).   Michael Greger, M.D., is an American physician, author, vegan and professional speaker. Dr. Greger is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Agriculture and the Tufts University School of Medicine. He became vegan in 1990. He is currently the Director of Public Health and Animal Agriculture at the Humane Society of the United States. His books include Bird Flu: A Virus of Our Own Hatching and Carbophobia: The Scary Truth Behind America’s Low Carb Craze. Dr. Greger appeared as an expert witness to testify about mad-cow disease when cattle producers sued Oprah Winfrey for libel.

Dr. Greger covers topics including zoonotic diseases, factory farms and Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs), human heart disease, the ethics of eating animals, and the differences between eastern and western medicine.
