Hayley Holroyd, founder of P.M.Art.Hayley Holroyd is the founder of P.M.Art, an organic, fair-trade, cruelty-free company that sells beautifully created graphic t-shirts that promote Napoleon Hill’s “Positive Mental Attitude.” The company also donates 10% of its profits to charities and is based in Vancouver, Canada.
In early 2011, Hayley was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of cancer. During this difficult period, her outlook on life changed: she wanted to feel good about herself and life. Her husband soon introduced her to Napoleon Hill’s philosophy: Positive Mental Attitude, and it quickly attributed to her positive outlook on life.
Positive Mental Attitude is a philosophy that focuses on an optimistic outlook in order to attract positivity in one’s life. A study has even found that positive mental attitude has had a positive affect on individuals that were HIV-positive.
To Hayley, PMA is more than just another philosophy; it’s a “reminder through those [tough] times to stay focused on the big picture and remember what really matters.” She focuses on the little things that would usually be taken for granted.
Hayley wants to inspire people with positivity, and with her passion for art, P.M.Art was born. The t-shirts range in design and color. As a vegan, Hayley has also designed a vegan shirt that consists of fruits and vegetables. Her love for the animals of the world inspired two shirts: a cute whale and one of sheep.
Hayley donates 10% of all profits to the following charities: 1Love, Gerson Institute, Sea Shepherd, Mind Body Awareness (MBA) Project, One Life One Chance (PMA), Challenge Day, and Urban Native Youth Association.
Hayley is currently raising funds to completely launch her business with the use of indiegogo.com, which has a similar concept as Kickstarter.
